Are there any e-bike rebate or incentive programs available?Updated 5 hours ago
Yes! If you're looking to save on your e-bike purchase, you're in luck. There are several rebate and incentive programs across the U.S. that can help lower your costs, and Upway is a participating retailer for some of them.
1. California E-Bike Incentive Program
California residents who meet income requirements can receive up to $2,000 toward a new e-bike through the California E-Bike Incentive Project, funded by the California Air Resources Board (CARB).
Here’s how it works:
- What’s offered: A voucher (not a rebate) of $1,750 or more, applied at checkout.
- Who qualifies: California residents who meet income guidelines and are selected by the program.
- Where to shop: Upway is an approved online retailer. All eligible e-bikes are listed in our California Rebate Collection.
- How to use the voucher:
- Find a qualifying bike on our site.
- Contact our support team via chat or email ([email protected]) with your photo ID and voucher certificate number.
- We’ll apply the voucher as a custom discount and arrange your delivery.
All California incentive bikes are delivered Ready-to-Ride from our Los Angeles UpCenter, no setup required. You can even schedule a local pickup in Redondo Beach if preferred.

2. Green Mountain Power (Vermont)
If you’re a Green Mountain Power customer in Vermont, you may qualify for a $200 discount on your e-bike purchase. Just send us a recent GMP bill, and we’ll apply the discount at checkout.
3. Minnesota Electric-Assisted Bicycle (e-Bike) Rebate
Minnesota residents may be eligible for up to $1,500 off a qualifying e-bike. The rebate covers 50–75% of your purchase, depending on your income. The final rebate amount cannot exceed the cost of the bike.
